Streetwise Actors partners with BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS OF HALTON:

Streetwise Actors is a unique program that Big Brothers Big Sisters of Halton is excited to be a part of. This program is filling a specific need that we at Big Brothers Big Sisters see every day; self-esteem development and teen programming. It is this age range where programming for teens typically tends to drop off. Teaching teens acting skills is teaching them so much more than simply how to play a character. Among a long list of things, it teaches them the importance of commitment, punctuality, team work and most importantly self-confidence and self-esteem. It is with your support and with the support of Streetwise Actors that these teens will be provided with the opportunity to develop themselves and take part in something that they would never otherwise be able to. To you, this project may seem like a bunch of kids putting on a play, but to these kids it is a way out…a way to escape the realities of life and for a moment take an opportunity to do something fun, something for themselves and maybe find something that they excel at.
